I picked this property for the price. I was working CES at the Venetian. I'm not fond of the strip but wanted to be close enough.
I am familiar with the Wyndham properties and have high standards on what to expect. It did not reach them.
If you are not a smoker, I am not; take note that it is a smoking casino. As you open the doors, it hits you.
I was on the third floor, and it wasn't as strong, but it reached.
Some of the things I was expecting were a microwave and a fridge, but there weren't any in the room. The ice machine on the floor was broken; the only one working was on the fifth floor.
Jerry, the attendant who checked me in, was very friendly and cool.
The diner, Iron Rail Café, is also on the first floor. It has a daily special menu. On Monday, it was meatloaf, mashed potatoes, and vegetables. It comes with salad.
The servers were friendly; the food was delicious for a good price.
On the smoke-free side, the views are beautiful; it's far enough from the city without being too far, and the bed and pillows are very comfortable.
I almost forgot, bring your shampoo and conditioner. The lotion smells nice. The soap is pretty good!
Oddly enough, I would stay there again now that I know what to expect. It is quiet, the views are fantastic, and the meatloaf is delicious!
