This was our first time trying out properties at Lake Las Vegas. We like that it is away from the noise and crowds at the strip. Ginger is very nice and answered all our questions. I only had one personal issue, and that's more of what I prefer in accommodations - the mattresses seem really firm and I struggled with hip issues during our stay. However, we're seniors so it could just be an issue for us, lol. The location on the first floor is perfect. Both bathrooms are large and the kitchen is adequate for a short stay - would have liked to had a few spices like salt and pepper.
We were there Mon-Thurs and it wasn't crowded, many of the shops in the Village might only be open on the weekends. The Mexican restaurant is good - happy hour margaritas are not skimpy! There are more groceries than we thought at the market and the prices aren't as high as we expected. The pool area was pretty quiet until Wednesday and then it got really noisy.
If you're looking for local eats - make sure you visit Boxers Pizza. It's not far away, a local tiny place (3 tables) with burgers, sandwiches, amazing pizza, and Thrifty ice cream! Super nice owners and they do a huge takeout business so it can get busy but it's worth the wait.
When we decide to take another quick during-the-week trip to Las Vegas from Phx, we'll certainly come back.
