This place is absolutely amazing, beautiful location with beautiful design. It is great place if you are looking for serenity and peace. Staff is very nice and food is great! I wish I could stay longer, as we werent lucky and couldnt swim on the beach the whole stay due to currents. The beach looks stunning! Only one thing can be improved - aervice on breakfast is not very efficient. Out of 8 breakfasts, 3 times we did not receive our order or we received no a la carte breakfast at all. Other times our food was delivered to another table amd then after 2 minutes taken to us - that is a bit unhygienic to me. Other timeswhen the staff had more time everything was great. But the standard should always be the same in the 5 Star hotel. We will be coming back, that breakfast service was still very nice and Silavadee is one of the nicest places I have ever stayed at

Das Serviceteam war sehr nett. Leider sind die 5 Hotelsterne in Asien vergleichbar wie 3 Sterne in Europa, bzgl. dieses Ressorts. In anderen Ressorts oder Hotels kann es anders sein.Das Ressort wurde 2007 gebaut Vorteile: - eigener Strand - 2 coole Poolanlagen - ruhige Lage - in Februar wenig Gäste, zum Entspannen sehr gut - Abholservice mit Club Car (elektr.) von der Rezeption zum Pool, Restaurant - jeden Tag von 13:00 - 14:00 1x Drink bezahlen und 1x "gleichen" Drink frei - Internet überall, sogar am Strand - Pools, Strand, Restaurants sind zu Fuss sehr schnell zu erreichen - Scooter- und Autoverleih - kostenlos täglicher Shuttlebus zum Strand Lamai und Zentrum - Jeden Tag frisches Obst, ausser am vorletzten Tag - 1 Flasche Wein als Begrüssungsgeschenk Nachteile: - der eigene Strand könnte intensiver gesäubert werden. Im hinteren Strandbereich unter den Palmen liegt Müll, den keiner sehen will - im Februar war mittlerer Wellengang, so dass ein Schwimmen beim Algen und glitschigen Steinboden kaum möglich war. Bitte ziehen Sie entsprechende Sandalen an! - Preis ist zu hoch für die 5 Sterne - am Pool, Strand oder Restaurant ist manchmal kein Personal um die Club Car zu bestellen - das Restaurant Personal ist beim Hochbetrieb nicht eingespielt. 10-15 Minuten Wartezeit für ein Espresso sind einzuplanen. Neue Teller sind manchmal zu erfragen - Internet ist nicht immer stabil - verbogene Gabel im Apartment und eine schmutzige Gabel im Restaurant. Schade für ein 5 Sterne Ressort

wer dieses Hotel bucht, bucht es mit der Annahme einen exklusiven Urlaub zu verbringen. Dieses Hotel entspricht in keiner weiße einem 5-Sterne Hotel. Lieblos gestaltete Rezeption, verschlissenes Zimmer, das stark renovierungsbedürftig ist, und max einem 3-Sternehotel Niveau entsprecht. Der hoteleigene Strand ist stark verschmutzt und die Liegen sind in einem ungepflegten Zustand. Die Poolanlagen, von den man einen wunderschönen Ausblick auf das Meer hat, sind ok, hinterlassen aber einen lieblosen Eindruck. Die Bars wirken teilweise geschlossen. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist eine einzige eintönige Enttäuschung, welches auf Sparflamme ausgelegt ist. Bei unserer dritten Theiland-Reise haben wir ein so schlechtes Preisleistungsverhältniss nicht erwartet. Das Hotel ist sehr abseitsgelegen, sodass man grundsätzlich auf eine Taxe angewisen ist, um einen näher gelegenen Ort zu fahren.

Romantisches Hotel für gemütliche Stunden
Ich verbrachte mit meinem 16 järigen Sohn fünf Nächte im Silavadee. Die ganze Anlage ist wunderschön und das Personal überfreundlich. Wir genossen die Ruhe, das feine Essen und natürlich die wunderschöne Aussicht aufs Meer. Der Privatstrand ist sehr schön aber leider zum Baden gar nicht geeignet. Es ist notwendig mit Badeschuhen übers Riff zu steigen, um baden zu können. Da mein Sohn in diesem Alter sowieso eher unternehmungslustig ist, haben wir verschiedene Strände in der nähe ausgekundet. Für Ihn war es das Hotel eher zu ruhig. Ich würde dieses Hotel wieder besuchen mit meinem Mann!

Enttäuschung!!!
Wir haben die Bilder auf der Seite des Hotels gesehen und haben sofort gedacht : " Das ist das, war wir brauchen" . Als wir angereist sind, die Enttäuschung war sofort da. Von Resaption her, konnte man sehen, dass das Hotel keine 5 Sterne besitzt. Wir waren schon 4 mal in Thailand in 5 Sterne Hotel. VOn daher können auch vergleichen. Das Hotel Silavadee Pool Spa Resort hat max. 3 Sterne, finde ich. Alles ist renovierungsbedürftig. Das Zimmer war übrigens nicht das,, was wir bestellt haben. Wir habe eine Zimmer mit dem Pool bestellt, haben aber mit Jakuzzi bekommen . Als wir uns beschwärt haben, meinte sie, dass wir noch zuzahlen sollen, dann bekommen wir das Zimmer mit dem Pool. Nur noch paar Wörte zu dem Strand.Reine Katastrophe!!Ich habe noch nie in meinem Leben so ein ungepflegter Strand in 5 Sterne Hotel erlebt!!! Da stehen max. 10 Liegen und das Hotel hat mehr als 80 Gäste. D.h. man soll frühe aufstehen, frühstücken gehen und schnell zum Strand rennen um Platz zu bekommen. Viele Gäste, die spät kamen, haben nach Liege gefragt, bekamen einfach Matratze auf Sannt gelegt. Wir haben Schock bekommen als wir das Bild gesehen haben. Viele Gäste, die auch noch spät für Matratze kamen, bekamen einfach Badetuch auf Sannt gelegt :)))) ....Einfach furchtbar. Auf dem Strand kann man nicht baden, weil dort voll steinig ist. Man kann nicht ins Wasser rein, weil man die Füsse verletzen kann (was bei meinem Freund der Fall war). Der Pool in Hotelanlage sieht schön aus.

Die Einrichtung in und rund um die Anlage (Zimmer) ist alt und hätte an diversen Orten eine Renovation nötig. Sicherheitsmassnahmen mit offenen Platten und Verkabelungen sind nicht eingehalten und liegen offen sowie Brach herum. Die private Bucht/Meeranstoss sowie anliegende Klippen sind mit Abfall/Müll zugestopft. Der eine der internen Pools wurde schon lange Zeit nicht mehr gereinigt und sieht verkümmert aus. Die zweite Poolanlage sieht schön aus, allerdings sind im Gebäude direkt daneben Bauarbeiten in Gange. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich, wie es Thailand allgemein bietet. Schade ist, dass die Preise vom Spa sowie Hotelessensangebote so teuer (rund das 10-Fache als sonst) sind und dem Preisrange überhaupt nicht gerecht werden. Das Frühstück ist sehr gut, allerdings eher Continental/Hip und auch da kein Touch der originalen/originellen Thaiküche. Bei Regen ist der Frühstücksraum nicht trocken zu passieren für zum Buffet zu gelangen - ein Vordach wäre eine Bereicherung, um nicht Plitschnass zu sein. Vermisst habe ich den Spirit der Thais innerhalb der Anlage sowie auch in der Villa. Es wurden keine Blumen oder Dekos zur Verschönerung ins Zimmer getan und keine Details oder Anzeichen, dass man in Thailand ist, waren innerhalb der Anlage ersichtlich. Sehr fragwürdig war der Transfer mit dem hauseigenen Taxi vom und zum Flughafen. Bei der Hinfahrt wurde uns ein anderer Tarif verrechnet, als bei der Rückfahrt. Die Preise des Hotel-Shuttels waren mit Taxikosten der Schweiz vergleichbar! Es gibt vom Hotel nach fixen Zeiten ein Angebot kostenfrei zum Lamai und Chaweng Beach zu fahren. Allerdings sind die Zeiten ungünstig der Rückfahrten und auch rar sowie fix. Deshalb empfiehlt sich ein Roller zu mieten. Der angebotene 24h-Service könnte massiv ausgebaut werden. Vermisst habe ich einen Fitnessraum und sportliche Möglichkeiten - kein Angebot vorhanden. Im Ganzen ist die Hotelanlage und Zimmer sehr schön, allerdings nicht dem Preis- Leistungsangebot sowie nicht landestypisch gerecht.

Das Hotel liegt ganz am Ende auf einem Kap zwischen den Hochburgen Chaweng und Lamai. Wer Ruhe sucht findet Ruhe in der Hotelanlage. Wer etwas sehen bzw Zeit im belebteren Lamai verbringen möchte, muss einen Fussweg von ca 40 Minuten auf sich nehmen. Es gibt einen shuttlebus welcher 3x täglich nach Lamai und 2x täglich nach Chaweng fährt. Allerdings fährt das letzte shuttle um 21 uhr zurück. Wer später zurück möchte muss mit dem Taxi fahren. Das Essen im Hotel ist vorzüglich, am Frühstücksbuffet + möglichen extra Wünschen gibt es nichts auszusetzen. Wer ausserhalb des Hotels speisen möchte, muss mind. 20 Minuten zu Fuss laufen um die ersten Möglichkeiten dazu zu finden. Ansonsten ist um die Hotelanlage nichts zu finden. Es gibt einen eigenen Hotelstrand/-bucht, die sehr schön gelegen ist, leider hatten wir am Tage Ebbe, was bedeutete nicht ins Wasser gehen zu können. Es ist zwar vorhanden, leider ist das `Hausriff´mit scharfkantigen Steinen & Korallen dermassen präsent, dass es unmöglich ist im Meer zu baden. Die im Hotel ausleihbaren Badeschuhe sind eine Pflicht, wenn man auch nur einen Fuss ins Wasser setzen möchte. Allerdings an planschen oder gar schwimmen ist aufgrund der Wassertiefe nicht zu denken! Ebenso ist es überflüssig schnorcheln zu wollen, dies lohnt nicht. Somit bleibt der Pool einzige Möglichkeit sich abzukühlen. Dieser liegt sehr schön erhöht, allerdings kann es auch mühsam sein vom Strand zum Pool laufen zu müssen (und natürlich wieder zurück), nur um sich abzukühlen. Bei normalen Wetterbedingungen ist die Abkühlung sofort wieder futsch. Wir hatten das Pech aufgrund von Vollmond und Ebbe überhaupt nicht ins Meer gehen zu können. Somit bleibt nur der Pool, welcher dann angenehm zwischen Palmen und Bäumen liegt, allerdings ab 13 Uhr die Sonne ebenso nicht mehr an die Liegefläche lässt. Eine Poolvilla wäre diesbezüglich wohl die bessere Variante. Das Hotel ist gepflegt und der Service ist gut und aufmerksam, ebenso ist das Spa-Angebot umfangreich und gut (eine Thai-Massage kann man zwar mit weniger Komfort aber deutlich günstiger natürlich auch überall am Strand geniessen). Leider sind die Englischkenntnisse des Personal nicht die Besten und leider ist das Hotel was die Ausstattung (TV, Mobiliar, Liegen, Schnorchelausrüstung, generelle Holzpflege, etc.) angeht etwas in die Jahre gekommen und für meine Begriffe nicht mehr eines 5* Hotels würdig.Die Details lassen am Tag dann doch zu wünschen übrig. Allerdings ist die nächtliche Illumination der Anlage dagegen sehr romantisch und ansprechend. Wer möchte kann auch einen Roller vom Hotel aus leihen, allerdings ist die Tagesrate von 300 THB deutlich über dem Angebot was man ausserhalb des Hotels mieten kann. Derzeit finden auch Anbauarbeiten neben dem Hotel statt, es werden 3 neue Poolvillen und ein weiteres ExecutiveGebäude gebaut. Den Baulärm hört man von morgens 8 bis abends 17 Uhr in den Zimmern. Am Pool und Strand dagegen kaum.

LOCATION AND GARDENS VERY NICE; BEACH THOUGH PICTRUESQUE AND QUIET IS NOT FOR SWIMmING .( LOTS OF ROCKS ;SHAPR-ENDED CORALS , SLIPPERS ARE A MUST], Pool is very small and not really for swimming. stayed in a deluxe room, which was spacious and well appointed- shades on windowfront and balcony would be great to make use of it during day- otherwise fully exposed to glaring sun all day. Height restaurant is a great spot to enjoy the views BB is very good, staff is friendly, but communication is a challenge on all levels, front desk staff is not very resourceful, nor proactive- if you want to know about things to do , shuttles offered etc, be warned abut the beach etc - you better go for information. Spa services overpriced as is minibar and poolbar. Food in restaurant is good and ok priced- You need a scooter or car . All in all not a five star venue nor experience

Schönes Hotel abseits v. Trubel, schwacher Strand
Personal sehr freundlich aber nicht ausreichend geschult, was vor allem im Restaurant und bei Beauty-Leistungen auffällt. Baulich ist das Hotel sehr schön konzipiert und gepflegt, aber schon etwas "in den Jahren". Ein malerischer Treppenweg über Klippen führt zum Strand in einer kleinen, schönen Bucht, die nur von Hotelgästen genutzt wird. Der Strand ist wenig gepflegt, wird offenbar nie mit dem Rechen gesäubert, bei den ersten Palmen finden sich Reste früherer Feste, Teile von Plastikkisten etc. Im Wasser ab Kniehöhe große Steine, die überstiegen werden müssen. An der Strandbar gibt es gratis Wasserschuhe und Handtücher.

Das Hotel ist sehr schone gelegen und bietet einen ausgezeichneten Service. Die Leute sind ausgesprochen nett und zuvorkommend. Das restaurant ist ebenfalls ausgezeichnet. Preislich fuer Thailand eher am oberen Ende, v.a. Der SPA ist kostspielig im Vergleich zu außerhalb des Hotels (Faktor 5-10). Dennoch eine sehr gute Adresse zum empfehlen.

This was our little piece of Heaven for a week. We had a villa with a pool, but not one of the ocean view ones. It was perfect. We had privacy and could choose to take a dip at any time day or night. We also enjoyed the private beach with its snorkeling gear and kayaks. Do be aware that the coral is close to the beach, so you really should plan any water sports for high tide. Having said that, there is an amazing variety of fish and coral mere feet from the sand. It is perfect for snorkeling. We also kayaked to Chrystal Beach, which is a low-key public beach.

True 5 star experience. Beautiful rooms and pools. Private beach was a nice touch. Great food, especially the breakfast. Golf carts to get a ride from on part of the resort to another was awesome. Loved using their app to text w lobby/concierge. Private beach was a nice touch, however water was a bit choppy. Great service from Aonny at the Star and Moon restaurants. Great service from Billy at Height restaurant, he even taught us some more Thai language.

We absolutely loved staying here for 3 nights. We booked the tropical pool villa with a partial ocean view, and it was absolutely perfect for what we were looking for. The bathroom was spacious with a gorgeous stone bath tub. The bed was so comfy - best sleep I've had in months! The sun, moon, & star restaurants had everything we needed with lots of veggie options. I highly recommend going to Star and dine during the sunset - it was absolutely spectacular. The food was delicious and the staff are so kind and helpful, we felt so taken care of. Walking around the property was intense at times because of the steep passageways, but the golf carts were great to transport us for longer distances or to dinner. The beach was just beautiful, clear water, and cleaner than Lamai. However, not great for swimming, as about 2 feet in it becomes quite rocky and dangerous to even walk around really. That said, there is kayaking and snorkeling if you're willing to go past the rocks! The beach was so relaxing and calm, it truly felt like a perfect getaway. The two infinity pools were amazing to swim in with a gorgeous view of the sea. All in all, a 5-star stay! Highly recommend.

The property itself is divine. Expensive if you want to have all meals there, spa treatments, and taxis/outings add up too if you’re keen to be out and about. Hiring a scooter or vehicle helps with this and gives some flexibility, as the location is not an easy walk to any attractions. Having said that, the resort has a long list of incredible features - 2x stunning pools, private beach (bring reef shoes), many included activities, happy hour, option to include breakfast (I definitely recommend doing this!) - so depending what kind of holiday you’re after and your budget you may not need or want to leave the resort to explore Samui. The spa and resultants on-site are stunning- also pricey. It’s a top class resort for couples (a bit less so for kids). Our room was stunning and the spa on the deck helped with those 33degree days! One small feedback was our drinks were forgotten a couple of times during happy hour at the pool- no complaints as they were gratis one of those times and staff were very apologetic. Loved the special touches of turn down service, fresh fruit, welcome pack and champagne. It was a very special holiday we will always remember.
