Amazing!
Property and home where better than the pictures showed, high end through out. Very comfortable in every way. Beach below was amazing and very private with only 15 people max each time we visited. Close to town, but far enough away. We will be back!

Beautiful property!
Everything about this house was excellent. You can tell the professionalism of the property management company in the ease of access and all the details to make the stay super comfortable. The house has everything needed for a stay. The walk to Secret beach couldn’t be easier.

Gorgeous escape, upgrades need
Loved our time in Kauai and the exclusivity the property gives you. Hard to beat! Private Beach is incredible as well. This very small house is just enough to give you what you need. Two things to keep in mind: the “walk” to the beach is more of a steep hike. Highly recommend driving your car down but be careful on the steep winding roads. Second and most important: the AC unit is wildly inadequate. The afternoon sun bakes the house and the AC can never recover in the master. It doesn’t get below 75/76. We used a portable window AC unit (<$300) that fixed it instantly. The property manager chose to not keep this cheap but effective fix for some reason but that’s all this place needs to earn a 5 star review

Paradise
This house and property is truly paradise giving you the Hawaii feel. Out of the handful of beaches we visited around Kauai and Honolulu, the short hike down to “secret beach hideaway” was by far our favorite.

Wonderful Romantic Getaway
The property is amazing and perfectly situated above secret beach. Great location and very nicely outfitted. The hot tub and outdoor shower are superb, and it's a truly lovely escape. That said, that the air con unit in the cottage is not sufficient - the main room is fine, but the bedroom gets quite stuffy. Numerous people have commented on this in the reviews, although we thought we would give it a try anyway since it is listed as having air con and we thought it might be sufficient - but definitely not. For the price that you pay, it should be top of the line. Adding another unit in the bedroom is a simple thing that would go a long way for this property (and yes the wallpaper is peeling, but that's a small thing that doesn't really impact the stay).

Magical Place - Kauai Adventure
My wife and I are normally resort pool/beach type people but this place was absolutely amazing. It showed you truly what Kauai was about. Access to the beach was a cool little path and the beach was amazing. People would often come to look at this area for the sunset since it was so beautiful. Great house for a couple looking to explore this breathtaking island. Highly recommend!

A truly magical place
The nēnē welcoming party was worth it alone, but this home couldn’t have been more perfect for the Kaua’i segment of our honeymoon. Kauapea Beach literally is your backyard, and it was the perfect break from the busier beaches on the island. We had everything we needed, so we didn’t need to reach out to management, but they were in regular communication to ensure we had up-to-date details on important local information like storms and road closures. Thank you!!!

Great Stay!
We had a great time here! Everything we needed + everything we wanted...incredible views w/everything from mountains to whales, private access to a beautiful beach (w/a little bit of a hike), hot tub! The nenes wanted to visit quite a bit so we used the hose to discourage them a little. The little town is great while being close to other beaches and attractions. We would highly recommend!

Views for literal miles
Such a rich scenery makes up for any short comings the cottage may have (which were not many!) It was perfect for 2 people, we loved the privacy and the concierge service. They were able to find a chef to cook us a private dinner at the home for my birthday. BEST BIRTHDAY EVER

Panoramic Paradise !
Pure enchantment! This was what everyone dreams about! Views were simply amazing from every spot on the property! Romantically secluded but only minutes from stores and restaurants. Access to one of the most beautiful beaches! The grounds were spacious and the backyard garden area was brimming with tropical flowers foliage and small pond. The indoor rain waterfall shower was a relaxing delight! Whales,birds,geckos,rainbows,crashing waves, star filled night skies!

Pristine property
Our stay was magical, scenery spectacular and the cottage location quiet except for the sound of ocean waves and distant roosters. The walk to the beach was well marked and beautiful, the beach below exceptional for a short stroll or ocean viewing. We would recommend this cottage and location to those looking for a quiet, peaceful getaway.

Private oasis
This was a beautiful private oasis. We had 34 acres to ourselves. With a walking path down to a beach with very few beach goers. The water at the beach he’s not really swimmable. However it was amazing having a secluded space to sit by the ocean and listen to the waves.

Love!
Amazing place to stay, views are incredible - the private/personal beach access really made this place. Outdoor shower was so pretty and enjoyable (hot water also!) AC works well but only in the living room . The bedroom does get extremely hot and humid, even with the fans. Lucky we only experienced 82 degree weather so it wasn’t toooo humid. It did rain our first day so we didn’t get to go to beach but the hot tub was a good 2nd Saw beautiful rainbows in the morning and this is a west facing property so the sunset eveynight was amazing! Would definitley stay Here again.

Quiet staycation getaway, but sadly disappointed
The rest and relaxation was much needed. However, for the price paid I really expected better care of the grounds and maintenance of the unit. It was apparent that upkeep of the grounds was lacking for some time as fallen leaves and plant material were very noticeable upon our arrival. Leaves were pushed to the perimeter of the yard in piles, rather than removed, and was what we got to look at as we sat in the hot tub. In the bedroom, the closet hanger rod was completely broken and so were the curtain. Throughout the unit, wallpaper was pulling away from the wall in some areas. Light bulbs were mismatched and some were totally burned out. I actually have never given a review such as this and please know that there were many positives which were appreciated. The let-down was due to the expectation because it was a "Hawaii Life" managed rental and the price for the stay was significant that did not meet all expectations.

Great time in Kilauea
Phenomenal view. The cottage is small but has everything we needed including beach chairs and towels and laundry machines. The finishings are upgraded and luxurious. Because of the acreage of the property, you feel secluded and barely see two other homes. The location is close to the light house, Secret Beach and restaurants in Kilauea. We had a great stay.

Piece of Paradise
Perfect location. We loved walking to Secret Beach and sharing it with only a few people. The place is clean, very comfortable. We didn't cook there, but it had everything you'd need. Such a quiet, pretty place, we felt so lucky to spend time on this gorgeous property!

Awesome view. Perfect size for 2.
The house has a beautiful oceanview. Quite a walk to the beach and not a swimmable beach. Great size for 2 people. Comfortable bed. Needs some maintenance on wood finishes and house. Great location for quiet getaway. Wifi was awesome!

Fabulous stay w/ a few suggestions
What was fantastic: 1. Views!!! 2. Complete privacy 3. Private trail access to Secrets Beach 4. 5 minutes to Kilauea... very convenient access to good restaurants and coffee shops. 5. Charming cottage unlike any "ocean view" hotel room you can get What needs work: 1. Cleanliness... not terrible but more attention to detail 2. Cottage condition needs some TLC... stains on furniture and floors, missing beach chairs (after confirming their availability twice), general wear and tear items that could be easily fixed at little cost (for example, replacing the furniture covers and outdoor chair cushions periodically) 3. A little more attentiveness from property management... we had a semi-hurricane during our stay and did not hear from management regarding our safety or the condition of cottage OVERALL, a good experience. Attention to detail of the cleanliness and condition of the cottage would go a long ways.
