Thanks for feedback, we agree with you that this historic property is in need of renovations and we started renovations when we took over this year in May. Many of them have been completed (Kitchenette Suites) . Currently our pricing is below the market in the area and we feel it is good value for the amenities you get - brand new linen, toiletries, free use of barbeques on the property, direct access to lake of bays, swimming on site, Dwight beach a 5 minute walk , Algonquin park a 15 minute drive. Hi Jihane, Thanks for the stay and the review. I hope that mother nature wasn't the reason for the 2 points being knocked off We were going through quite a cold snap that weekend, but you were the only one who complained of the cold! Perhaps you didn't have the heater turned all the way up?The heaters in the tents help cut the cold, but when it is 2 degrees outside, it will never be 'shorts and tshirt' warm. We have tested and found that the tents stay around 10 to 15c.Looking forward to hosting you in the summer next year!

Hi Evelyn, we are so happy that you enjoyed our new luxury tents so much. You are right, the evenings are magical here with the sound of the river and the warmth of a camp fire keeping us cozy while we enjoy the starry sky!The fall season is 'high season' around here so prices at that time are reflective of this. Come visit in May/June or the first week of September when we are in low/shoulder season if prices are a bit much in the fall.

Hi Naixun, thanks for the stay and review/score. Other than the bad weather I cant think of any other reason for a 6/10. You made no mention of anything being an issue during your stay.Perhaps you can contact us and let us know what went wrong so that we can make some changes/improvements (but we cant do anything about the weather!).

Hi Ok,thanks for your stay and your review, we are glad you had a nice stay.FYI - our listing does not show microwaves in the room type you reserved. We have kitchenette suites which have full cooking facilities for those who wish. Also the information sheet provided in the room stated that if you needed a hair dryer to request it. Hi Anna, thanks for your stay and review. I can assure you our cleaning regime does not allow for mold to form. Being on the river and surrounded by forest means that we smell the forest and the damp but there is no mold.We have split opinions on the beds. They are 'pillow top' so are softer than many hotels, but they have lots of life left in them.Thanks again for the stay, see you next year!
