Thanks so much, Iwona. Keep coming - we make no profit but rely on you guys to keep Nemasu alive. Covid, coups, the failure of Thomas Cook, the scare of ebola - have all taken a huge toll on the Gambian economy. Spread the word! Come visit!! BTW the rubbish on the beach you refer to is somewhat out of our control. We clean the beach in front of Nemasu every day, so that is spotless - but have to stop somewhere. Nemasu itself is spotless.

It's really unfortunate that we're sometimes affected by this factory. We, together with other local residents, have taken the factory to court, but have been ineffective battling the government on this issue. The smell doesn't reach us very often; it would be an injustice to punish the local community by tourists staying away because of the Chinese. I appreciate your mentioning it in the review, and encourage you to make an official complaint to the Gambian government.

Thanks for the review. To clarify- we're on a large piece of land on the beach. We have 12 houses, an additional 6 rooms, a restaurant & a beach bar. Wifi works perfectly in all houses except 2 that are on an adjacent property, as well as perfectly in all rooms and in the restaurant. So - wifi 'ok in some spots' actually means perfectly in 90% of the property ;-)
