Good Times!
We stayed at the villa for seven days. Each (4) bedrooms had a beautiful view. The island is beautiful and has lots of things to do! The beach is located down a short hike from the property. Overall we had good times, we randomly had some iguanas visit us and chill by the pool. I recommend this property and will def stay again if we go back to Saint Martin.

House and Location are good, owner is terrible
Overall this is a nice location and it has received excellent reviews, which is why we booked it for our group of 7 over Xmas 2019. Unfortunately for both us and the owner there were very challenging, dangerous political riots when we arrived and we were unable to access the house safely. The riots continued for many days and we had to relocate to the other side of this island and find a new place to stay. Ultimately the Owner offered, and we agreed, to a settlement of 50% of the total booking cost. We accepted this in the hopes of finalizing quickly, especially given the challenging situation completely out of both of our control. The Owner then delayed and deferred for a few months, was reasonably unresponsive and despite pressure from us and VRBO they ultimately only reimbursed a very small fraction of the cost, and didn't live up to their promise to split the total. We have had many years of good success with VRBO & Home Away and their Owners. We have traveled extensively and have faced difficult problems before, and it is always when there is a problem that you uncover true service and credibility. In this case, the Owner did not refund what they agreed to, despite their offering to do so. So, i am giving a low rating for the first time in my life, because if there is a problem with a stay here at this house then the owner is unlikely to live up to their word, and you will spend considerable time trying to recover funds.

Beautiful house that needs owner attention
Beautiful house in lovely Grand Case. However the house is in need of attention of the owners!!!! Using more than 1 appliance at a time flips the breaker. A washer and dryer is described on vrbo, however the washer flips the breaker and the dryer doesn’t work. The house sleeps 8 but has only 7 forks. There are virtually no cooking implements. For example no spatula or large serving spoon. One frying pan. While the house has 4 bathrooms and 4 bedrooms- only 2 of the toilets are near bedrooms. Thus you are sharing a toilet with the other bedroom on your side. One shower did not have hot water for the entire stay nor a working toilet toward the end of the trip. We were unable to use the safe because the owners were out of the country and had the key. We did not have Wifi the last 3 days of the trip. Therefore we had no way to reach out to the property manager. The property manager tried to address some of the issues without results.

PARADISE IN GRAND CASE
We had a wonderful stay in Grand Case at this villa! We were a group of 4 couples in our 20s-30s and this villa was absolutely perfect for us! The view was incredible. The pool was a great size. The villa is surrounded by greenery that made it feel very secluded, also it is the highest villa up the hill at the end of the road which add to the feeling of seclusion. There was so much common space for hanging out during the day, we never felt crowded. The bedrooms were well set up, two bedrooms are down one staircase and two are down the other staircase. AC in all bedrooms! Each of the little bedroom pods has 2 separate shower rooms and a separate room with toilet. There are also 2 additional bathrooms on the main level. Plenty of space for everyone! Kitchen had most of the essential tools, cooking large meals for all 8 of us was a bit of a challenge as there is not a lot of counter space but definitely work-able. Overall the villa itself was amazing and we had an incredible week! Marc was easy to communicate with. No concerns. There was a pool tender who came a few days and also a maid who came by every other day which was unexpected and amazing! The town of Grand case is an AMAZING place to stay, we would recommend it 100%! Be sure to check out some of the awesome restaurants and the roadside BBQ joints also (which are cheap and awesome - get johnny cakes!). The walk up the hill is killer though haha, we drove up and down most days as there is a big parking lot right down in grand case that was really convenient. Walking down to grand case only takes 15 mins though and we did walk a few days.

Wonderful family gathering and getaway!
We really enjoyed our stay at your lovely villa. The views of Grand Case beach and the bay from your veranda and pool deck were spectacular. Magical sunrises and sunsets! Your home provided our group of six adults and two babies plenty of space to spread out, privacy for naps and quite time, and wonderful spaces to gather, visit, eat and play games. The pool was great! The open air kitchen and living spaces were very well appointed and had everything we needed. While all the bedrooms are located on the lower level and are air conditioned, the main rooms upstairs did get a bit warm by the end of the day. The property manager, Marc, was very helpful and easy to communicate with. We loved walking into town and sampling all the wonderful restaurants and shops, swimming and walking along the beach, and the locals were so friendly and welcoming!! It's a good hike back up the hill to the villa, but more fun when you have a cocktail or ice cream in hand. It was a wonderful place for our family.

Great house, great location, great stay. Can't wait to go back.
It was the perfect place and trip for us. Great location and superb views. If there is one thing i could ask for more would be our door ceiling fans. there wasn't much of a breeze during the time of the year we were down there. That aside our group enjoyed every minute of it.

Exquisite villa! Perfect location!!
This was our first visit to St. Martin and we were so thankful we chose this property for our stay! The house is beautiful and well-maintained, the view spectacular and after making our way around the whole island, we decided that this property's location is the best. We didn't have enough nights to try all of the fabulous restaurants right down the hill in Grand-Case. A previous guest mentioned roosters crowing. We did hear them throughout the days, but they were so far off in the distance it was enjoyable and not at all bothersome, even as we sat out on the balcony or deck. Marc was delightful to work with and was willing to go above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our stay - even making a special trip up to bring us a guitar to use during our visit - thanks Marc! We were a bit disappointed at first when we learned that all of the TV channels at the villa were French (and we are not)....but that turned out to be a nice thing. We had not taken the manager(s) up on their offer to meet us at the airport and lead us to the villa. You might want to consider their offer - if you haven't been to St. Martin before, don't speak French or will be arriving after dark. However, if you don't, the island is small enough that you won't get TOO lost. :-) We hope to return some day and stay at the villa again!

Wonderful vacation
We had a great time staying in Grand Case. Marc was our contact for the property and he was very nice and accommodating. There are a few things you should know if you are renting here. The view is incredible. The home is atop a hillside overlooking Grand Case. A vehicle is a must due to the steep hills to get to the house. There are four bedrooms but they are split up with two on one side, and two on the other. There is a separate staircase to each two bedroom area so don't expect to have parents in one bedroom and kids in the other three. The internet connection is not great. We were able to stream netflix a few times, but nothing else would work (amazon prime, itunes, etc...) It was impossible for me to do any work remotely as well which was probably a good thing for me, but there were some things that I had to get done and it was very frustrating to be disconnected constantly. There is cable tv, but everything is in French. All of the plugs were European 220v which was also challenging at times. I say these things not to scare anyone away, but it would be helpful to know when packing. The main living area has roll up doors that really brought the outside in. The deck is incredible. As stated in another review, there were some bugs–– little ones that would get to any food left out and others that would bite us at night. It wasn't a big deal for us and well worth it to spend time in a tropical paradise. I would highly recommend this home and island.

Outstanding villa - just gorgeous, a must stay!
We could not have been happier with the villa. From the moment we arrived, we loved everything about it. It was spacious, 2 bedrooms on each side (total of 4 bedrooms), which is nice because you could not hear from one side to another. I loved the doors at the end of the night that keep out the light, so you can sleep in if you want. But the views were gorgeous, and the owners and property manager were so nice. The layout is perfect. We loved the huge patio, and then there was the pool that was superb. We even had an iguana on the patio. Loved that! I don't think there was a better location. You are so close to Grand Case; you don't even realize that. And even though you are on a cliff, we walked down one night, and I was so glad we did. We saw the fabulous Fat Tuesday parade, and we had a terrific french dinner and walked back. The villa is laid out so nice, has nice furniture and decoration, and the views are beautiful! We could not have picked a better location and villa. Next time we visit St. Maarten, we will be back. We absolutely loved it!!!
