Large room with 2 double beds for a family of 4, a small fridge and modern large TV. Good fitness room with typical hotel swimming pool included. Large buffet breakfast with numerous personnel. Underground secure parking available at extra cost. It´s relatively central, but still a 20 minute walk from restaurant and shopping districts, but a bus stop is nearby. Unfortunately air-con was not working properly, room temperature reached 26°C with non-opening windows. On mentioning the problem, the hotel staff did not seem to be aware of this, but the proposed ventilator solution were already in the room. The offer of waiving the overnight parking charge was some compensation.

Gutes Stadthotel
Geräumige und saubere Zimmer, gute Betten und Kissen zur Auswahl. Bad geräumig. Unser Zimmer lag zwar zur Straße, innen aber war es ruhig. Zur Innenstadt etwa 15 Min. zu Fuß. Schnell mit dem Flughafenexpress-Bus erreichbar, Haltestelle in der Nähe (5 Min.). Frühstück sehr gut, allerdings sind die Räumlichkeiten etwas ungemütlich. Das Schwimmbad im Keller ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber in Ordnung.

Großes Hotel am Rand der Innenstadt
Sehr großes Hotel, auch die Zimmer sind geräumig. Wasserkocher, Bügeleisen, Safe, alle Annehmlichkeiten eines guten Geschäftshotels sind vorhanden. Schneller Empfang, Adapter für Elektrogeräte, großes Bad. Badewanne und Dusche sind eins, duschen ist etwas abenteuerlich.Es gibt eine große Bar, mit der ich allerdings nicht zufrieden war. Da nur sehr wenig Personal zur Verfügung stand, wurden wir um 22 h gar nicht mehr bedient und gingen hungrig zu Bett. Leider bietet die Umgebung nicht viele Alternativen zur Hotelgastronomie.

Hotel im Business Distrikt
Wir waren hier für eine Nacht als Startpunkt zu unserem Trip in die Highlands. Gewohnter Standard für ein Businesshotel und alle Erwartungen wurden erfüllt. Sauberes Zimmer, gute Betten, guter Service, ausgiebiges Frühstückbüffet. Parken des Autos wurdeextra berechnet, aber das war ja bekannt. Rundum waren wir zufrieden mit unserem Aufenthalt.

Wir waren eine Nacht als Familie im Hilton Glasgow. Der Blick aus dem Zimmer (Richtung Downtown) war nicht besonders schön, aber die andere Seite blickt auf die Autobahn. Fenster schmutzig. Poolbereich in Ordnung, aber im Keller ohne Fenster. Frühstück mit 14 Pfund pro Person, Kinder ab 12 zahlen voll, sehr teuer. Haben wir nicht gemacht. Parkhaus vorhanden, kostet 12 Pfund für 24 Stunden. Nun zum Positiven: Stadtzentrum problemlos zu Fuß zu erreichen, nach Extradecke gefragt und sofort bekommen, Personal sehr freundlich. Der Barbereich sah hübsch aus, war auch gut besucht.

Die Innenstadt ist gut zu Fuß zu erreichen. Das Frühstück war ausgezeichnet und üppig, viel frisches Obst, verschiedene Säfte usw., auch auf Allergiker wird individuell eingegangen und nach Bedarf zubereitet. Die Zimmer in unserer Etage wirkten etwas abgewohnt und könnten renoviert werden, waren aber sauber. Die Bad-Armaturen funktionierten teilweise nicht (tropfender Wasserhand, Toilettenspülung brauchte mehrere Anläufe).

We arrived after a long transatlantic flight and requested an early check-in. No hotel will guarantee this but the Hilton staff worked hard to accomodate us. It was wonderful and much appreciated. It is an easy walk into central Glasgow. Staff were universally pleasant and helpful. Food in the relaxed bar and restaurant areas was excellent and we especially enjoyed the daily buffet breakfast. The Hilton is now our go to hotel in Glasgow.

Pros: Rooms are clean and view from 17th floor is great. Comfortable beds. Lounge is very comfortable. Bar open till 12 midnight. The ambience is great and relaxing. Great staff. Polite and professional Lovely cocktails. One of the best Bloody Mary I have ever had. Food is yummy. Had dinner one night at the hotel itself. Lot of options to choose from. Cons no robes for kids , especially with swimming access kids robe are expected. And its Hilton not just any hotel. Parking has leaks although hotel has apologised it was due to some work. Breakfast service didn’t work for me. . The hot buffet was not being filled. I waited and had yogurt muesli brown toast tea and left I was vegan. Not many options if you take out hot breakfast also from the mix. Not worth 18 quid per person. I had booked in for breakfast for two days separately it was not part of my booking . Called in to cancel for the next day. The attendant at the desk, said no problem they can do that. I had booked for only one adult and child. However while checking out we were asked to pay for two days. Somehow managed to convince them to pay for one day but again they charged us for family of four. Just let go and paid but did leave with an awkward feeling which otherwise would have been nice given the hotel is so comfortable to stay and relax.

We received, without a doubt, the best customer service we have ever received at a UK hotel. My wife and I have travelled the length and breadth of the UK for work and pleasure and I can honestly state that the staff in this particular hotel were professional, happy and a pleasure to interact with. The family enjoyed the pool and the jacuzzi - but I didn’t like to be charged extra for using this. Everything else was “Hilton” standard - so clean, comfortable and standardised. I had a number of issues with my stay. 1. I arrived and was checked into a room that only had a shower, I particularly wanted a bath because everywhere i went to in Glasgow was cold. The room temp was also cold and I had difficulty after a long day travelling getting the thermostat in the room to adjust. Another problem was that despite downloading the expedia App the Hilton App and the Hilton Honors App non of these Apps readily showed the address of where I was staying there are 6 different Hiltons in Glasgow, I ended up having to stop my taxi and call the hotel to find out where it was. I would have like to have used the pool (thats why I booked that hotel) only to find I had to download another App to use the pool and pay an additional Fee in addition the App would only allow a narrow time window as such I was that tired I could not face having to download a 4th App. So instead of stopping off at my hotel having a hot bath a swim and a walk around Glasgow I spent the day feeling cold and unwell in bed.

The staff were so friendly. They greeted us, gave us food recommendations and held our bags for a while. The place was really clean and comfortable. The breakfast was fantastic. I appreciate them making an omelette from egg whites for me. Good location. My only complaint was that The food in the restaurant was expensive and they added an automatic tip which I wish they didn’t.
