Cousins weekend
There were just three of us, so we only used the main level. It was a rainy weekend so we did not use the hot tub. Was looking forward to that. Rooms seemed smaller than the pictures but it was fine for us. Lower level had a musty smell, but it was a wet and rainy weekend. Lake view was obstructed by the beautiful colored leaves in the trees so it was only a short walk to the dock. Had a great time. Towels in bathrooms were very plush.

Wonderful Lakehouse!
We had an amazing time on our vacation and Chris's place was the best place to stay! Fennville is a great town with everything you need close by and a short drive to the beautiful Lake Michigan. His lakehouse is very equipped and we enjoyed the views, watching sunsets on the pontoon and hanging out. Weather was perfect. Chris was great at communicating and answered any questions we had. We will definitely be back! :)

Quiet spot to chill
This was just as the listing stated. Quiet neighborhood, (nice neighbors also). Lovely shady place to read and relax, short walk to docks where you can relax some more. Truly a lake house, not so fussy that it makes you uncomfortable, but literally everything you will need to rest or play. Lots of space (more than we needed), and well supplied, from the bathrooms to the kitchen. We weren’t sure about having one shower, but it was totally fine. It was nice having paddle boards, kayaks, life vests etc, and the boat to chill on. Used the fire pit which was fun, and the hot tub looked lovely, but we didn’t use it just because the weather was so nice at the lake. The owner is very responsive, which was great. We would recommend this place to others.

Girls weekend
We enjoyed the decks, fire pit, hot tub and well stocked kitchen. The weather didn’t cooperate, but there’s nothing anyone can do about that! The house was perfect for a quick girl’s getaway.

Perfect getaway
Went to the location for a fun girls weekend. Had an amazing time, would be a great place for families as well with all the room and games and such. Great morning view of the lake. Hot tub is perfect! Highly recommend!

Nice quiet neighborhood
Short walk to the lake. Beautiful area. Master bed was very comfortable. Didn’t have any complaints about the others except for down stairs queen bedroom under the bed we found mold. House was clean but does have a smell of mildew, really bad in basement area. Once we aired it out upstairs it wasn’t unlivable. We still enjoyed ourselves and would probably stay again.

We have never had feedback like this before in 7 years. I am curious as to why that feedback was not sent immediately with a photo, because nothing like that has ever been found. The lower level can smell a bit damp during humid summer and fall weekends especially when the dehumidifier is turned off. Which seems to happen often. We have never had mold and I would think that would have been an immediate complaint.

Awesome house for family vacations!
Awesome place to stay for our annual family vacation. The house was well stocked. Probably the best stocked house we have ever rented with regard to kitchen items and toys for the kids. We loved hanging out on the pontoon and watching our kids swim all day.

Perfect place for a family weekend getaway!
Really enjoyed our stay! We had our 4 adult kids with us and there was plenty of room. Great hot tub, nice deck for eating outside, and the garage is a treasure trove of fun! Especially loved the bikes and the paddle boards. Chris was very responsive and check in/check out was easy. Would highly recommend!

Great girls weekend getaway
We had a great time however, the hot tub wasn’t useable on Saturday due to the temperature not going up. The highest it would go was 88 and that was a bit disappointing. Other than that, we were happy with our stay.

I’m sorry to hear about the hot tub! Unfortunately it does happen that the wrong buttons get pushed and the tub goes into Economy heating. There are instructions on the fridge in the garage as to how to put it into the correct mode, and I am always available to answer questions and guide folks.

winter getaway birthday celebration
We all enjoyed the weekend ! We had cold weather, snow, sun, everything you could ask for on a winter getaway! The hot tub was used 3 times and worked great! The house had of room for 9 people to move around and not be overcrowded! The house was stocked with plenty of bathroom needs and kitchen needs. I reached out to the host a number of times before the trip and he responded promptly. Overall we had a wonderful time and my daughter had a wonderful 35th birthday! Great memoru maker! This house offers a lot if you're looking to enjoy time on the lake. Located within an easy 2-3 minute walk to the waterfront, this house provides a variety of lake amenities. We enjoyed the paddle boards and kayak along with other water "toys" they had available. The shallow entry made a perfect splash pad as well, and we could leave our towels & stuff on the pontoon boat while we were out on the water. It's the main reason we chose this rental, and we were glad we did! The house was well stocked with amenities. The beds were spacious and comfortable. The interior was clean and provided plenty of space for our small family. The back patio was large and we enjoyed eating our meals outside. The location is also great. It's near a variety of wineries, fruit groves, it's only 20 min to Saugatuck and a bit further to Holland. My only recommendation would be to put a little more care in the exterior. The landscaping is getting over grown, we needed to clean the patio furniture, and the hot tub curtains are moldy and the tub bottom was sandy. Overall, we enjoyed our lake vacation and would stay here again.

Family Gathering
The house was perfect for a large family gathering, the younger adults stayed in the downstairs bedrooms and the older adults in the upstairs bedrooms. A bathroom downstairs might had been great but overall the house worked great, we used the outside deck for dinners and gathered for fires every night. The lake was great, and really enjoyed all the lake toys provided to us, and the wagons in the garage really came in handy, but we did not have any view to the lake from the house, overall the house worked out great for us.

Quiet, Pretty Place
Updated in all the right places. Basement adds a lot of room. Nice open first floor so can be in the kitchen, dining or living area are still be with the group. Lower level set-up well for kids and another bedroom. Hot tub and firepit are nice and both used. Walk down to the lake was easy and the kayaks nice to use. Dock and boat were not out yet for the season. Pretty area and not a far drive from what we wanted to do. Owner answered inquiries quickly. Thanks for a memorable weekend!

Epic winter vacation house!
We really liked the hot tub. There were lot so of toys and games for the kids. One of the bunk beds is very close to the ceiling, but the bunk beds were a hit! It is a beautiful location with great views! It is so close to Cranes, Virtue, Salt of the Earth, and dunes which were great for sledding!

Beautiful Fall in SW Michigan
Perfectly designed cottage for our annual fall visit to SW MI. As advertised. Great location. Husband loved access to Hutchins Lake and nearby Kzoo river for his early morning fishing trip. I loved the back roads for biking and access to the wineries, orchards and farmers markets. House could easily accommodate more than just the two of us. Open floor plan and spacious decks were wonderful for enjoying the sun. We didn’t use the party boat, kayaks or hot tub but all looked nice and fun. We will consider staying here again.

Peace and Quiet on the Water
A lovely setting with a nicely equipped kitchen and plenty of deck area as well as dockside space. Clean, with lots of games and beach towels. The idled pontoon boat was a must, since there is nowhere to stand or sit at the water’s edge.

Couple nights on Hutchins Lake
Overall, the house was very nice, clean, and had everything my family and I needed. We really enjoyed the paddle boards, the grill, the dock, and hot tub. The house is about 10-15 minutes away from downtown Southaven so we spent a few hours walking around the area. The one complaint I have is the fees the owner kept pinning on us. Early check in fee, pet fee, pet hair on furniture fee, as well as a cleaning fee when it was estimated to be lower. All of those fees left a sour taste in my mouth and I will probably not rent here again. The place itself tho was great.

Great family spot
This was a great house for our family. Stayed with our three adult children and two grandchildren and their spouses. Our family dog who is well behaved came along for a small fee. We like that it was close to the water but not right on the water for safety with the young ones. Very close to some of the most spectacular Lake Michigan beaches and an amazing state park. The house had everything we needed and exceeded our expectations. We highly recommend this property and this owner. Great value for the money. Five stars

Great stay!
We spent a nice few days here, enjoying some much needed quality family time. We loved all of the many amenities that were offered, especially in the kitchen as we did a decent amount of cooking. The kids enjoyed having Netflix available too, and the selection of board games, and things to do. We were hoping for a lake house right on the lake, as this house had lake access with a shared pier, but getting to the lake you had to cross a path that made it seem like it was on shared or neighbor’s property. All in all, we had a nice stay, and it was nice exploring around town as well.

Quiet and comfortable
We enjoyed our stay, location was quiet, living area was comfortable. Kids loved having all the toys to play with. Kitchen was fully stocked and we appreciated the extra beach towels. The hot tub was clean. Only negative was the basement was damp and chilly, we couldn't get dehumidifier to work.

We enjoyed this cozy house for our annual weekend family getaway. The house was very close to Saugatuck for a full day of shopping. We had a nice view of the lake, although the pictures made it appear closer to the house, it was perfect for our stay. We would definitely consider renting again.

Comfortable, clean, and affordable
The two of us came down for a few days of R & R, and this place was perfect. Clean and comfortable, walking distance to town (with great restaurants!) and a winery. We didn't take advantage of the lake because it was snowing, but we hope to come back with the kids and grandbaby in the summer. The lake is pretty, the view of the sunset delightful, and the hot tub toasty.

Great place for the family
We stayed at the resort week of Aug 17th. Upon arrival it was clean and organized. Chris was quick to respond to any and all my inquires. It held 6 adults, 2 toddlers and our grand puppy just fine. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils needed to prepare daily meals for the family. Comfy beds and nice bathrooms. New washer and dryer with detergent provided. Hot tub was hot and clean. Perfect location - close to Saugatuck, Oval Beach and the orchards. Lots of activities nearby for the family to enjoy. Walked the neighborhood and the residents were friendly. Only draw back was the minimal lake frontage. No beach area anywhere close on the lake. Off the RH side of the dock was sandy and shallow where the kids could play. The pontoon boat needs some TLC. We did not use it. Overall it was great and the family really enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful, peaceful and well-equiped, great for 2 couples and children.
My wife, toddler and I had a lovely 3 nights here. The back deck is so peaceful for evening meals and wine. The lake, only a short walk away, is nice for wading or kayaking. The main living space is the top floor with 2 bedrooms, a kitchen, a dining area and a living area as well as the lovely deck. The house has an extremely well-equipped kitchen, with a grill conveniently located just off the kitchen. The 2 bedrooms upstairs are great for couples. There is a third couple's bedroom on the bottom floor that is windowless, as well as another bedroom with several bunk beds. Our only issue was that the hot tub appeared to have some algae growing in it, but the owner was quick to refund the tub fee. Thanks! We definitely enjoyed our stay and would rent again.
