Wonderful Long Weekend in Suncadia
We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend in Suncadia at Icing on the Cake. The condo comfortably fit eight adults. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed and we enjoyed sitting around the fire pit in the evenings. Communication with the rental agency wa great and the check in process was easy.

Great House but No Resort Amenities
We found the home to be very clean, well-equipped, comfortable beds (except the bunk beds) and in a nice area. Loved the home itself. The big disappointment was that we booked this home under the misunderstanding that 1) it has a hot tub (it doesn’t) and 2) that we would be able to use Suncadia’s pools and fitness center (you cannot, not even if you pay). I realized it was waaaaay at the bottom of the home description, but it should have been up front as we had many other places to choose from in the area that did have hot ribs on-site, and other amenities a bit more suited for teens. My fault for not reading every line of the description, but as a newbie to Suncadia, it seemed like a given that the community should have access. Had three very bored and bummed out teens as a result. If you have little kids, the garage is a great setup. If you have teens, and want pool access, rent somewhere else.

We do not advertise the home as having a hot tub and we do add in the description that none of the homes that we manage have access to the swim and fitness center or the nelson farm pool facility. GREAT place to stay - beautiful home!
We had a GREAT time staying at the property. Loved the extra touch of it being decorated for Christmas. Plenty of room. The Suncadia setting is awesome. Enjoyed our walks in the neighborhood. Only negative thing were uncomfortable beds in the bunk room. We realize they are probably intended for kids (we did not have any kids with us) but because of the sleeping needs in our group one of the adults needed to sleep in the room. Doubling up 2 mattresses helped.

Great get away
Annual get together of friends who were all part of either Jobs Daughters, De Molay or Rainbow that has been happening for over 50 years. Great house to host the group for potluck meals. Parking was tough as the house would hold 10, but we only had 4 people. Only 2 parking places in drive and a ways to find another place to park. IT WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE TALLER TOILETS so that you do not feel that you are falling into the toilet. Guess that tells our ages!! Would recommend.

Great Place for our Family
This is a beautiful home. The property description is spot on. It had all the kitchen basics. Things I should have thought of when we shopped before were napkins, sandwich baggies, foil and cooking spray otherwise everything was provided. The garage set up for children play made it so much fun for our granddaughter and we didn't have to plan to take a bunch of toys with us. The location is perfect, close to the pathways, parks, winery and lodge. The scenery around the area is picture perfect. Will definitely come back! :)

Family friends getaway
Booked this place with two other couples and our children. We picked this place mainly because of the toy room. Our kids loved it, though there were a lot of little pieces not suitable for the younger kids. The place was very clean. The upstairs rooms got a bit hot. The only downside was we didn’t have access to the suncadia pool, which seems is more suncadia resort’s rules than anything the owners could do. But access to the pool would’ve been awesome!

Winter Wonderland
What a wonderful time we had at Icing on the Cake! The house is lovely - very clean, spacious, and welcoming. We especially appreciated the large number of coat hooks, benches, and baskets in the entryway for all of our snow gear! The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed including a variety of cast iron pans to cook with. Our kids loved the garage playroom with toddler toys and ping pong table. Beware if you are renting in the winter time, as the garage is not heated and the space heater provided doesn't put out a lot of heat. All of the bedrooms were comfortable and spacious. The blinds are not blackout curtains, so if you are bringing a baby or toddler who likes pitch black, make sure you put them in the master bedroom closet on the main floor (pack and play is provided!). The location of this house is right in the middle of everything - 10 minute walk to the lodge, 8 minute walk to ice skating, and 3 minute walk to the tiny playground. We enjoyed snow the entire time we were there so chose to drive to the other, bigger playgrounds, but if you stayed here in the spring and summer they would be an easy bike ride. Also, this house is in walking distance of the 10th hole of Prospector which doubles as an amazing sledding hill! The only warning about location is that you are very close to other houses and have only a view of your neighbors. Also, the yard area in the back is quite small, so if you need a large space for kids to run, this isn't the best house. Overall, though, we enjoyed being cozy in the living room by the fire as we watched the snow fall. Thank you for a lovely stay!

A fresh air weekend!
We enjoyed a long weekend with our daughter’s family and granddaughters. This property has a garage full of kids toys, which made us decide on this property. We took advantage of Suncadia amenities — the Winery, Spa, Lodge, playgrounds, walking trails and enjoyed S’mores and evenings by the firepit at the house. Note that in the back and side yards of this property, there are two large houses under construction. The workers left as we arrived on a Friday evening, but it might affect your relaxation and quiet if you’re staying for a week. Otherwise, this house is a perfect accommodation with all the necessary amenities for a pleasant stay.

Good Place, probably would rent elsewhere next time.
Our stay here overall was good. The place had room for everyone and was clean. Master bedroom doors didn't lock which was not ideal. The place had AC but you're not allowed to turn it below 72 degrees. The place had a firepit but no instructions on how to operate it. We reached out via phone and email asking how to operate the firepit but received no response. The property was also directly next to two homes under construction which was never shared with us during booking. Luckily most of our stay was during the weekend when there was no construction taking place, but had we been staying more weekdays it would have been terrible as the construction began (loudly) at 7am. This seems like something that you should share with prospective guests. Overall the place was good and worked well for our group, but if I return to Suncadia I will likely choose a different property.

We had three families stay together for a skiing and sledding getaway and having a playroom that is great for both older kids and younger kiddos is so smart! The adults were able to watch the NFL playoffs in peace while the kids played ping pong or games in the playroom. The only challenge is parking 3 cars, but we made it work. The rooms in the home and the bunkroom were absolutely perfect. I would highly recommend this property to anyone that is looking for a fun overnight with multiple children.

Perfect family vacation house!
This house was perfect for what we needed for our family vacation. Each of the 3 families had their own bedroom and bathroom. The bunkroom was awesome for the kids. The heated garage with all the toys was a perfect place for the little ones to play. We are already planning our next vacation and would love to stay at this same place!

Unfortunately, as advertised on our website, this home and our other Suncadia homes do not have access to the Suncadia swimming pools. This is due to resort regulations that are beyond our control. The flip side to this is that we do not charge you a $100/night resort service fee so you typically pay 20-30% less for any of our Suncadia homes. Great for families
Really enjoyed our family weekend. The house is perfect for up to 3 couples with young children. The playroom in the garage kept our 2 little ones very happy and we all enjoyed the outdoor BBQ and fire pit. We were disappointed that the rental does not include access to the area pools — the swimming pools are really a desired perk.
