Leider etwas enttäuscht worden
Wir haben uns kurzfristig für dieses Hotel auf unserer Rundreise entschieden, um die Sehenswürdigkeiten der Region zu erkunden. Die Anlage liegt super im Jungle und bietet daher auch den richtigen Platz zum erholen, nach einem anstrengenden Tag. Die Anlage ist an sich sehr schön, leider sieht man, wie der Zahn der Zeit an ihr nagt und leider die Nachbesserung ausbleiben. Wir waren eine kleine Gruppe von 7 Personen und haben leider feststellen müssen, dass die Zimmer sehr abgelebt, schmutzig und viele Dinge defekt waren, vom Lichtschalter, über den Rauchmelder, der halblebig von der Decke hing bis hin zu Türen, die nach außen nicht richtig abschließbar waren. Das Badezimmer haben wir als am unsaubersten und abgelebtesten empfunden. Schade, Preis-Leistung passt hier nicht mehr. Aufgefallen ist auch das teilweise unfreundliche und gestresst wirkende Personal. Das ein „Sorry-no thank you“ nicht verstehen wollten. Leider war das etwas ärgerlich gewesen. Sehr gut ist das Essen im Restaurant, was wir nur empfehlen können. So hatten wir noch einen schönen Ausklang unseres Abends, bei einem leckeren Essen und einem Glas Bier.

Please see below for our General Manager’s note In comparison to the reviews we have had this seems a very contradictory review. We don’t see our room as worn-out and dirty. As mentioned I checked out the light switch & smoke-detector and found nothing wrong with them and doors are lockable. It is unusual to hear that our staff is unfriendly and stressed-looking because they treat the guests in a very friendly manner at all times. However we had high occupancy throughout and our staff have been busy during last 12-14 days. Please consider as an incident for you and not our tradition of hospitality. In the meantime thank you very much for your nice comments regarding our foods. Thank You,

Such a nice place! Pool is amazing 😉 We loved it. We would stay there longer just for the pool in the morning. Breakfast is full of choice.

Only one major issue. The first night of my stay the hotel moved housekeeping staff into the room above me late at night. The banging and the noise was ridiculous and when I went to the front desk at around 11:00 p.m. there was nobody there, no night staff. Hotel shouldn't be putting staff in the same quarters as paying customers.

Dear Mr.Benjamin,Thank you for staying with us at SigiriyaJungles. On the day of your arrival, the clients in the upstair room wanted a room change to stay next to each other as there were 02 rooms. The noise was due to that and not that staff was occupying guest rooms. We keep only one front desk staff after 11 pm but we have a duty manager to call in an emergency along with a few others including maintenance. Anyway sorry for that inconvenience. We are very glad that except that incident you enjoyed our services & extended in the future night. Please consider this is only an incident & come again. Beautiful jungle setting with a lovely pool area. Good food. Small gym but nice. Spacious rooms and comfortable bed. Bathroom was nice but only had screen doors to the outside which made it quite hot.

部屋は比較的きれいで、浴槽もあり快適でした。ただ、シギリヤロックに朝一番に出発して登ろうと計画していましたが、朝食が７：００からということで計画通りにはいきませんでした。 部屋の電気蚊取器は点いているのかいないのかわからないもので、結局部屋の中に入ってきた蚊に少々悩まされました。 ホテル内敷地は想像していたよりも狭く感じました。 総合的には快適に過ごすことができました。

Assez loin de Sigiriya ( village et Rock ). On ne savait pas en réservant . L’hôtel propose bien sur des tuk-tuks et taxis mais bien plus cher que suposé! Plusieurs bibittes et moustique dans la chambre malgré un choix de chambre climatisée. Donc propreté pas au top de ce qu’on attendait. Superbe complexe sinon. Personnel dévoué et excellente nourriture.

What was unique was the service where nothing was too much and always friendly. Taking 6 other people to SL with me I was so happy that they also felt the same as me about this resort. Well done to the team at the resort. Also the food was fabulous for breakfast and dinner.

When we checked in at 6 pm ready to hit the shower & have dinner, there was no hot water. Have to call several times before someone came & evidently they use solar panels plus backup electricity but backup never kicked in. No hand towel & no wash cloth! No hair conditioner. Have to use single bath towel to do it all. Hotel compounds & setting was peaceful & tranquil , looks like a 4-5 star property but overall stay felt like 2 star. Plus air conditioning was not cool.

No hot water when we checked in at 6:30 pm. Took long time to resolve, no room available to move us. Third bed was a hard sofa! Have to asked them to put a mattress on the sofa! We paid for 3 rd extra bed. No hand towel and no wash cloth. Have to request for extra bath towel to be use as hand towel. Management just apologized and that hotel was fully booked. Does not know how to compensate for our inconvenience so I will never stay there again & never recommend to friends!

Tranquil place with nice breakfast buffet and pleasant bands in the evening. Room was a little dark but clean. Note: They dont provide driver accomodations but they helped to arrange one. Also helpful with arranging a last minute tour.

We stayed 3 nights at Sigiriya Jungles. What an unexpected and beautiful resort. We wanted for nothing. The staff led by Duty Manager Ajith - were exceptionally friendly and attentive. The meals were varied and well done. The rooms were very comfortable and the bathroom was lovely - partially open to nature. The birds, peacocks, monkeys provided great entertainment. The infinity pool is stunning and well maintained. The live music at dinner was wonderful. We highly recommend Sigiriya Jungles and hope to return some day. Such a beautiful respite.

Impressed by the quality of this hotel. We have already decided to return next year. Very service minded, quick response, always smiling staff. VERY nice restaurant with great collection of choice. Modern and stylish rooms i very good condition, super spa-treatments (though a bit pricey). As said - I did not expect this hotel to be as good as it is. Go and order now :)

Lovely and secluded. We arrived by car, no walking distance to anything, but that just made the stay there more peaceful. Loved the spacious pool and the food was good. The only negative was that the balcony door did not close completely, leaving an opening for mosquitoes to get in - even with ac we got eaten by night in the room.

Nice quiet, large hotel - resort
Nice quiet, large hotel for a pleasant stay, very friendly staff. A large number of guests at the restaurant, a buffet dinner only. Only it was unpleasant the noisily sweeping the sand pavements at 7 o'clock in the morning

Good, but could have been great.
Our stay here was almost perfect. The hotel itself is great and the service etc. is very good (although sometimes bordering on trying too much to “up-sell” everything which got a bit annoying). The one flaw we had was that, due to its location, you really need to have a driver when staying here. We had emailed in advance to see if the hotel offered driver accomodation. They said they did for a small price (which we were happy to pay) but when we arrived we were told that no driver accommodation was available. This was very annoying and ended up resulting in us having to give our driver money to get accodation elsewhere. They weren’t particularly apologetic for this inconvenience. I understand the hotel may give precedence to the drivers for the larger tour groups so you are travelling in a small group you will just have to take your chances and don’t rely too much on what they tell you in advance!!

Mooi resort dichtbij prachtige locaties
Erg mooi hotel, lekker zwembad en goed restaurant. De kamer was ook fijn, lekker ruim met een mooie badkamer. Het personeel was zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Dit hotel ligt dichtbij plekken die je niet mag missen tijdens een reis naar Sri Lanka zoals pidurangala rock en Kaudulla National park.

ジャングルに似つかわしくない快適リゾート
敷地内から遠くにシーギリヤロックが眺望できるリゾートホテル。部屋はカート又は徒歩でも行けるレベルの距離内にありますが、ここは人気なく落ち着くロビーから遠いところをお勧めします。夕食も朝食もスリランカの真ん中のジャングル内とは思えないほど立派でデラックスな時間を過ごせました。
