The hotel had a 9.2 rating - I don't know how it received such a high score. The room was quaint - a bear and elk motif ran throughout the bed's quilt, pictures on the walls, and knickknacks. And the bed was comfortable.
But the door was very difficult to lock - I had to push the door closed with some force to get the lock to turn (and a good tug on the door was required to open the lock). In addition, the room was very damp. When my wife took off her shoes she commented that the floor was wet - it was not "wet" but one could definitely feel the moisture in the carpet. The room was also very dark - more powerful lightbulbs or another lamp would have been very helpful. Finally, the breakfast was so-so - it was unattended so supplies were low, there was no decaf coffee, and there was only powdered creamer.
