James and the team made me feel very welcome. The hotel is gorgeous and the staff couldn’t do enough to make my stay as enjoyable as possible. Everything was top class luxury and I felt very spoilt. I would highly recommend and will certainly be going back.

We’d stayed at this hotel in 2022 and really liked the location and the rooms, but found it a bit noisy around the reception and pool - music levels on the loud side. I appreciate this might be a Melia ‘thing’, but it’s a really lovely hotel. Based on that, we decided to try it again this year (I’m a bit late on the review - it was October!) after it had change to Zel Mallorca following some kind of take over by Rafa Nadal! First impression was that it is still a beautiful hotel and the location still (obviously) fantastic. The rooms had had a refresh as well - the accommodation is of a very high standard! I had a couple of issues through. 1. If you want a quiet stay with quiet time by the pool or a room overlooking the pool, you might find the music loud. It’s loud in the reception areas around the pool and in the Beach Club area too. Really gone for a night club vibe which didn’t seem to fit the target demographic. 2. In the interests I guess, of a more personable reception experience, the hotel has done away with a reception desk. Whilst this seems like a good idea on the surface, it was a bit like running a gauntlet every time one walks through the reception area, with various members of staff milling around. We found it a bit of an odd experience! That said, the hotel team are VERY helpful (although wouldn’t reduce the volume of the music!), but if you’re looking for a quieter, relaxing time, then rent sun beds beach & parasols on the beach.

You have to check yourself in on an app by entering your own personal info - unusual and time consuming. Probably a measure to save on staff costs. Most of the rooms (i estimate about 2/3) face the back side of the property (road) so unless you pay for a seaview room you experience some road noise. I was also bitten by tiger mosquitos on the balcony of the hotel. These transfer dengue. A shopkeeper nearby told me he wears only hard fabric clothes due to mosquitos. The room condition was brand new, the bed very comfortable. Bathroom was excellent. Compared to the roughly 50 guests at breakfast only a handful ate dinner at the hotel restaurant - probably due to the high prices and limited main course choices - not even free bread with wine. There was no parking available at the hotel (you have to park about 200 meters away). The outdoor pool is unheated - I was surprised by how tiny the 2 hot tubs are - barely 2 people fit. They could afford to invest in a larger hot tub. Overall a good value in low season.

As for the parking, we do have a private car park with limited spots and an electric car charging station, but we understand that it might not always be available. There's also free parking near the hotel for our guests' convenience. For couples or friends only
This hotel is more suited to friends or couples rather than families. It is very "trendy" and if you're a regular person / holidaymaker (rather than someone who is super-glamorous or who has had a lot of cosmetic surgery) then perhaps this isn't the place for you. It isn't somewhere to go with children and the breakfast on offer is a bit unusual (broccoli and sausages rather than yogurt and cereal). A big deal is made about there being no actual check-in desk, which makes it tricky to do anything quickly as finding a staff member to speak to is quite hard and it seems to take an eternity to get anything done. On the plus side, the "disco room" breakfast is great - giving the hotel a kind of 'night club' vibe, and the rooms are gorgeous. There is also a very decent gym. The two pools are also great - though the one for children is on the more shady side of the hotel so not somewhere for lying in the sun.
