Your experience was a bit unhappy, so sorry for that, but things happen, we were without staff being such difficult time to find any at all..anyhow, we were very sorry to have made you wait, excused ourselves many times and as well you were offered refund for the room if you were unhappy, but you said it was ok to wait. As well you waited more because we do not give away room that is not on the certain level of standard of cleanliness. You were offered a drink at the pub on account of the hotel, but you refused to go to the pub, so that is why you were offered 2 permits of £20 value gratis...I just wonder why using the reviews as revenge and not barely for the objective opinion, as I would not value Cavalaire 1 out of five, even if it were much worst your experience... anyhow, we hope the experience you had here, does not happen any more to you....best of luck for that!! Hello, nice to read that you kept your word of reviewing us badly, we understand that you need to project your anger, and is fine, we didn't have a match ;) Is funny that the other couple that had the same problem of the hot water not running for 20 minutes (we fixed in no time) are returning here next month because they loved our vibe and the hotel. The heater as I told you, was ON, it stopped because was 24 degrees in your room, so I needed to set at 26 degrees specially for your needs, and I did as soon as you asked, so nothing was wrong with the heater. I suggest next time, to ask to the hotel if the room where you are staying is soundproof, especially if you are staying in an old victorian building (as it says in our description, is not soundproof), otherwise you can go old school with ear plugs. Also, if you hear noise, you can call the hotel anytime, even at 2am, to ask to knock on the door of the people that are listening the tv loudly, so we can fix it. About overprice and average, I don't think so, but maybe after one year of lockdown could appear like this. but we know each hotel in Brighton, and our prices are really similar. Using the excuse of no hot water for 20 minutes, to not pay your room and escape turning your back without saying buy, and paying your bill, is not a grown up attitude, we are concern that you didn't wan't to pay and you looked for an excuse. But thank you anyway to having choosed us, this means that you liked something. Have a lovely day ;)
