Yeah, sorry. Our restaurant closed a few years ago except for special occasions. We stopped advertising it when it closed. Sorry about the exterior lighting. There are lights but it seems out timer got out of whack when the power went off in the last storm. We have fixed that. NO COFFEE?...Sorry again. Wished you had just asked in the office, we've got plenty.

Very sorry. All of our rooms are posted "no smoking" and we clean and wash 100% of the linens including the curtains and shampooing carpets regularly. We did have an elderly woman upstairs with a cane for the same period but never would have guessed that she'd be up that late. We did wait until midnight for your arrival and finally closed the office even though we are normally only open until 10pm. We did leave a note with the key asking you to stop and register and sign your credit card receipt and luckily caught you as you were leaving. Please come again and hopefully it will be a better stay. Vermont is absolutely beautiful this time of year and the view from our hillside was spectacular these last few weeks.

Thanks for your comments. We do our best to remain true to a family run and operated small business and maintain our old-world European design. We are sorry that breakfast is not included. We advertised and notified all our contracted booking sites of this years ago but it's clear that they really want only the big business and don't bother updating our information. Sorry about that.

Sorry. Busiest weekend of the year in Vermont.

Yes we do have some old furniture in some rooms but they are in very good condition and clean. We also have rooms with handpainted bavarian style furniture with a balcony' but they are a little bid more.

Quiet, basic, comfortable beds, quiet, lots of hot water and just 30 minutes to Mount Snow and Stratton......Okemo isn't far either. We're just a mile from our local park that has a sweet old tow rope and ski hill too. Lots of great hiking nearby too.

Thank you. Our new "smart tv's" are a bit slow to respond. We don't know why but try to have reminders by each tv explaining you must wait about 30-45 seconds after pushing the "TV" button. We don't leave clocks plugged in but in case they don't work, we have extra's in the office. Hope to see you again.

Wow! great hearing! You are absolutely correct. If you're on the middle level with people above you, many people have said you can hear the footsteps above. I guess if you're not used to it, it must be annoying. Sorry. We always welcome people to come and talk to us about such things so we can resolve them (often give upper level rooms to guests for the same price even though they are quite a bit more expensive ....$110 instead of $82.

SORRRRRRY......Its difficult to respond if we don't know what room or level you were on. We have 6 seasons in Vermont and we turn the heat off in the summer. We would have been happy to turn the breaker on if you had mentioned it. We had another customer asking if the pool was still open. It's Vermont. :)

We didn't even advertise with the sites that are saying we have a restaurant. Sorry for the inconvenience. Welcome to corporate America. We're glad the room was "OK" with a clean and modern bathroom. We do open front doors to rooms before check-in so rooms have fresh air before before arrival. We are a small, family owned and operated motel. We can't imagine how a locked back door could become unlocked once a guest has checked in. The back "emergency exit" is lit when there is an emergency. Sorry about the couple of flies.....it is Vermont in the summertime. I believe all the big chain motels use lots of chemicals to control bugs and we'd rather not.

Thanks so much for your review. We've been on the "pool-repair" list for weeks. It's a small town and only one service company to work on it. They say they'll be here this week and it is a beautiful outdoor pool when it's working. Sorry about the restaurant. We do open for special occasions and fortunately there are about 20 restaurants in town and 2 or 3 in walking distance. We're so glad there are still customers who enjoy something other than the "canned" hotels.

Funny that when guests look for the cheapest room in town, they still complain. We have mid-level and upper level rooms that are very nice but guests ask for the least-expensive rooms and then want the best. Go figure? We have mid-level rooms for $72 dollars in season and a beautiful outdoor pool and we're not a big chain motel. No accounting for taste.

We are sorry you were unhappy with your stay. We vacuum all the rooms after every stay and regularly shampoo rugs as well. I have no idea how someone could have taken your reservation because in late May we're only at 50% occupancy. We cannot guarantee that other guests will keep the volume down but we rarely have complaints. Ice machines are extremely unsanitary! People put their hands in them and we've watched them drag their ice-chests through them to fill them so we find filling new food-grade baggies is much better. We have 16 major stations on our tv's. If you're in Vermont, surrounded by green mountains and hiking trails and beautiful lakes and rivers, why would anyone need more than 16 television stations? We hope you'll visit Vermont again and take advantage of the fact that we still have family-owned businesses.
