4月だったが、予想に反して少し暑い日が続いた。部屋のエアコンが冷房になっておらず、少し不快感があった。朝食もそれなりに豪華で問題はないが、従業員の態度が悪く、それが気になった、とても5つ星ホテルの従業員とは思えない振舞だった。

5 star comfort if you fix the pillows and slippers

One of the best maintained old hotels in Beijing, New Otani has been consistently well maintained the 2 times I have stayed here. The price so far has been fair and the hotel is of a 4 Star standard or imagine an older 5 star hotel. The rooms are very clean and the hotel in general has been upkept very well. I do have a complaint about the pillows as they are too high! I am nitpicking here but the room slippers are very poor quality too.

ひとり旅には心強い味方

中国旅行の初日に1泊しました。 初めてのひとり旅だったので、日本人スタッフに北京事情の数々を質問できて心強かったです。 長城観光の為に、最近開通したばかりの北京北駅始発の高鉄指定席もホテルから簡単に予約してもらいました。 長城駅まで約30分、往復料金は予約手数料込みで約120元。 快適な高鉄体験と長城ハイキングができました。その上、時間と料金が大幅に節約できてお薦めです。 高鉄は二等席でしたが日本の新幹線の普通席以上の車内です。
