We had initially planned a trip up north to Bedugul from Ubud for the temples by the lakes and waterfalls, however, on our arrival we realised how far the temples are and decided against the walk. We didn’t let this take away from our time at Handara, the hotel itself is in a stunning location and is in a very modern condition.
We ate a nice meal in the terrace restaurant (which was definitely the priciest meal we had on our trip to Bali) whilst watching the sunset amongst the mountains of northern Bali. Our chalet room itself was large but lacked WiFi.
It’s also worth noting the staff were happy to provide a golf buggy trip to the entrance to view the impressive Handara Gate, which offers an impressive photo opportunity.
