Schönes Hotel in Napa

Sehr angenehmer Aufenthalt in netter Umgebung! Einziges Manko: es gab keine Frühstücksmöglichkeit im Hotel; aber nebenan war ein Café/Bistro,

Great Spot in Downtown Napa

Veröffentlicht am 24.06.2014
We booked this hotel last-minute through Expedia and got a mobile discount of $25, which brought the room price down to $220/night. This was a one-night splurge for us on the last night of a driving trip, but I felt it was well worth the money. It was beautiful, convenient, quiet and very luxurious -- definitely worth the price. My husband didn't realize the breakfast was included so was a little shy about ordering from the "breakfast in bed" menu; I knew better and we had a lovely meal on the sunny patio near our room, overlooking Napa River. When you factor in the breakfast, free parking, and convenience of being walking distance to Napa's vibrant waterfront, this is an excellent value, considering that many mediocre properties are vastly overpriced in Napa.

Very nice hotel close to everything

Napa River Inn is an old style hotel with all the amenities. The staff were pleasant and very professional. It is located close to town and walking distance to many nice restaurants and bars. We travelled with several couples and we all had the same opinion. We would definitely return.

Best Option for Price, Comfort and Value

Vorzüge: see above
Minus: not much
Ort: see above
The Napa River Inn is a very well managed, clean, nicely located hotel option in Napa. We were impressed with the quality of the room, furnishing, bed etc. Also the staff was responsive and ready to help. This may not be the perfect luxury hotel but is it is very nice and perfect for those that want a solidly modern facility, without the signs of wear and proximity to the downtown attractions. Positives: Quality rooms, location, responsive staff, first class bakery serving breakfast and next door for excellent pastries and deserts, excellent restaurants within steps ( Celedon, etc.), tourist information center next door, bike rental 50 meters. Negatives: None Napa isn't the most picturesque city, the river is not much to look at, but the planning and execution of this hotel is about as good as you could expect.

Napa River Inn

Vorzüge: location
Minus: raise hot water temp. for the showers!
Ort: All of downtown is close by for walking, music, touring the town.
Nice enough and right by downtown. The shower water temperature was ok, but not able to take a HOT shower! Older tarnished/polished brass seemed dated. Comfy beds and very nice staff.

Great hotel !

Vorzüge: It was charming, had great service and was SO comfortable. The staff was VERY helpful !!
Minus: Our room looked out on an alley and a restaurant across the alley. I'm not sure anything can be done about location, but it did detract a little bit.
Ort: The location was central to Napa Valley and Sonoma. Chateau St. Jean is at the top of the list. Hot air balloon ride over Napa a must do!
We enjoyed our stay in this lovely hotel that was right downtown. Walking distance to many wonderful restaurants. The concierge, Liz, was exceptional. Her recommendations for activities and shopping/ restaurants were ALL excellent !!

Things Didn't Work

Veröffentlicht am 22.05.2014
Vorzüge: The location was very nice.
Minus: Plumbing could be improved on.
Ort: The location was along the river and there were a lot of things to walk to and within reasonable distances to the wineries.
Dirty water backed up in the bathtub and wouldn't drain. The hotels electricity went out and couldn't do anything about it until after 8pm. The staff did their best, but what can you do when nothing works and its dark.

Snotty staff,chopped up rooms, noisy.

Vorzüge: Nothing
Minus: Everything
Ort: Tourist area
This hotel is located in several different buildings without a common area in a busy, loud, tourist area of downtown Napa. My room was directly on street next to a restaurant patio filled with partying drinkers. The internet did not work and was never fixed. The bath shower fixture were worn and did not work well. The staff was not helpful.

Nice view of the river.

Vorzüge: Location
Minus: They need a regular bar to hang out in, not a concert venue.
Ort: Lots of shops, tastings, and restuarants near by.
We stayed here for our 20th wedding anniversary. We had a nice room with a patio. The free breakfast that was delivered to our room every morning was very nice. Great location!
