Originally booked for the low price but averagely alright reviews as well as the “free crib” amenities. When we arrived, I asked if they had baby cribs but they did not which defeated the purpose of booking them. The front desk was very nice despite this fact.
The bed sheets and towels looked clean, but my fiancé did report that he saw roaches. Also, whatever renovations had been done left spackles of caulk, grout, and whatever everywhere as well as paint, so it does look cheap. We didn’t use the TV since most nights we turned in early for my baby’s bedtime.
The sheets were VERY thin, so if you like a cold room but cozy bed, bring an extra blanket. There are no side lamps, just two ceiling spotlights.
It is right off of the interstate, plus a less favorable area of Lafayette so of course, there are some sketchy looking people. But if you mind your business, they will mind their’s. The only patrons that did not mind their businesses were the local cat colony. There are some very friendly, sweet cats who will attempt to enter your room while you are unpacking luggage.
Overall, it was what I expected for the price, minus the lack of crib. So, I would say it met my expectations but did not succeed them, which is why I am rating this hotel rather mid or lower than mid (except for the staff, who were nice).
