Nicht so gut: Englischkenntnisse der Mitarbeiter im Spa Bereich
keinerlei Übersetzung in Englisch nur französisch und holländisch
Bademantel zum Frühstück NEIN
Lage: Ausflüge nach Lüttich, Spa usw. jedoch mit viel Fahraufwand
Wir haben uns bewusst auf Grund der Fahrtzeit einmal für Belgien entschieden. Das Hotel liegt sehr idyllisch an einem Park. Der Ort ist jedoch die reinste Katastrophe. Es gibt nichts, bis auf eine riesige Baustelle, die Straßen sind aufgerissen und es ist nur Schmutz und Dreck. An jeder Ecke wird gebaut.

Mängel: Das Zimmer ist viel kleiner als 28 qm. Fernseher hat kein deutschsprachiges Programm.
Warme Speisen bei Frühstück sind fast kalt und in ca. eine Stunde Büfett ist fast leer ohne zu auffüllen.
Im Zimmer fehlt: Kostenloses WLAN (bekommen nur mit Schwierigkeiten), individuelle Klimaregelung, Wasserkocher.

Very attractive spa hotel with excellent service

Gut: The appearance is great. Staff are also very attentive. The evening meal restaurant is also very attractive with a high quality of service and food
Nicht so gut: The only issue with the guest room was that it is too hot. The rooms have airconditioning but this is switched off in winter and heating is too high
Lage: Very nice location amongst trees (which are lovely in autumn) beside the river. Some distance away from town so few close services
The main building is a very attractive old manor house which has been extremely well renovated with modern extensions added for dining, the spa complex and the guest rooms. It has a great atmosphere.

Nice hotel with great spa

Veröffentlicht am 18.05.2016 auf HotelsDetta är enbart ett hotell man ska besöka för att utnyttja spa. Rummet var bra, ganska mjuka sängar och gratis kaffe, grönt the, vatten och läsk. Utbudet för room service var mycket begränsat, mest pizza och lasagne och efter kl. 21. Wifi fungerade inte så bra. Frukostbuffén var bra med färsk frukt, yoghurt, olika ostar, våfflor etc.
Spa- delen var bra med en större inomhuspool där man kan simma och en varmare utomhuspool. Även olika bastu och haman. Många vilrum och ganska gott om utrymme. Jag saknade möjlighet till egenbehandling med tex salt. Jag tog en ryggmassage som var bra.

Gut: The outside pool, very unusual to be able to swim outside in December
Nicht so gut: Maybe they don't get many international visitors, but if they are on Expedia they should try to cater more to non French speakers
Lage: Bit of a little village place, really we didn't see much of it. It was good for access to the motorways to the local big cities
This was good as a base to travel to the markets in Leige, Cologne and Brussels. The markets were OK but more about food and drink than specifically Christmas. The hotel seemed to cater for pamper breaks and spa weekends for the native French/Belgiums. It was not very international i.e. the barman did not speak English, there was no english menu, no english TV etc. As we were just using the hotel as a base this was not a big problem, almost everyone outside spoke english so we did OK. The outside naturally heated pool was a great experience even though the weather was not too cold for December. The saunas and steam rooms were OK but nothing special.No drinking water was provided, you have to buy it, although some type of tea was provided. As guests were expected to swin, have saunas, shower etc. it was strange that you were given one towel on arriving and expected to need no more! My wife had a massage and enjoyed it. Water from the shower in the room overflowed the shower area into the bedroom and made the carpet wet everytime it was used. This seemed to be a long standing problem judging from the staining on the carpet.
