“Nice place”
Nice place, but never did find the pool? Seem to have a little bit of mould here and there, but it was rainy there for many days.
“a stone's throw from the bay”
Maybe not a the "scenic view" the hotelname promises, but located conveniently around the corner of the Bay of Islands in a quiet area and scenic hills surrounding it, our room had a garden view and inside looked modern,comfortable, car parked at frontdoor of the room and with garden as a pleasant background it felt very relaxing after the long drive we had!
“Good value”
We enjoyed the stay very much. Front staff very polite and professional. Room was gorgeous and clean. The grounds were not as tidy as you'd expect and body's lack colour and character. The buffet is totally OVERPRICED, but plenty of local cafes. Will go back again!
“Loved the weekend in Paihia”
We were in Paihia organizing our friend's wedding. The hotel was just perfect-big renovated and very tidy rooms. Quiet, nice and relaxing. We already booked ourselves in for 3 nights in December-when we are coming back to Paihia for the wedding
“Brilliant!”
Lovely hotel. Staff great and very helpful and food so delicious. Very close to beach and bars/ restaurants. Pier close by for trips to islands
“nice hotel and gardens”
good hotel, helpful staff, good food and the location is good too. We were impressed with our room which also had a balcony. we would recommend it to others.
“Lovely stay during an offseason visit”
The staff was really friendly and helpful! Maybe because of the offseason (winter) our room was upgraded, i think there were less than 10 ppl staying at the hotel at the time! The food at the restaurant was good and reasonable. we had breakfast there on both mornings and had a light dinner on one night. The hotel pool was not heated so didn't get to use that. One of the room windows was left open and there were a lot of insects in the room when we checked in but the room was still pretty nice! Could have used a better mattress though!
“Would definitely stay there again”
Reception was very helpful. They assisted us with booking tours. However, they need to update themselves with prices of ferry from Paihia to Russell. Not too big a problem. One can always find out more accurate information at the wharf. Staff around the hotel was very friendly. We were greeted with smiles and nods as they walked past us. Parking was an issue for one of the nights as it was Easter and perhaps the hotel was booked out. We had to park fairly far, in a spot that was not close to our rooms. The parking spots right outside our rooms as well as the ones along the strip were all occupied. Other than that, the hotel is really worth staying. I would definitely stay there again.
“Highly Recommend, Value for Money”
If you are looking for value for money, stylish modern rooms that offer a variety of taste temping foods then this is the place for you. Our room was absolutely beautiful. We had a Room with a Loft which was very spacious and hi-lighted earthy tones through out which blended in with the lush native surroundings. I only have high praises and would definitely be coming back to stay again with my family. 5 Star Service
