I bought a non- refundable room. I showed up to check in. The parking lot was poorly lit, the asphalt in front of the hotel was torn up. There weren’t any kind of barriers to prevent someone from accessing it. I don’t know if there was debris or anything in it, it was too dark. No one was at the front desk, so I rang the bell. I saw flash lights moving in the lobby. Someone came and said someone would be right there. Another person showed up and asked if I could come back in 20 minutes. I said I would wait. The manager showed up a few minutes later. The office was behind glass and there was a propane heater running. Apparently their credit card machine wasn’t working. She told me I could cancel my reservation and pay with cash. I didn’t have any way of getting cash. They also told me that they may only have a room with one bed even though I reserved two queens. They also informed me of a $250 deposit for a room less than $50. I told them that that was not on the website and they said they didn’t control what was on the website. The only thing listed on the website was a $75 pet deposit. They didn’t give me a room because they lied on the website and I didn’t have cash. Don’t do business with these crooks. I have used hotels.com for years and if there’s a deposit it is clearly stated on the website. I told them that was false advertisement and they blamed it on the website. I asked why they did business with them and they said they had no control over it. All lies
